Contact us today to discuss your requirement. #Epoxy preform freeWe will also conduct a free evaluation of your component for sealing with our epoxy preforms. Multi-Seals offers engineering samples at no charge for qualification on your component. Learn why our Uni-forms are the solid solution alternative to the drips, clogs, and inconsistencies of liquid epoxy. See Epoxy Preform Advantages for a comparison of Uni-form epoxy preforms to liquid epoxy. Automated loaders dispense epoxy preforms as rapidly as 200 to 600 parts per minute with little or no operator training. Uni-forms also increase industrial sealing production rates. For larger or more complex seal configurations, read about our Poly-form flexible adhesive films. Pre-shaped epoxy seals are available as rings, plugs, rectangles, disks with multiple IDs, trapezoids, and more. Inside diameters are available as small as. A wide range of configurations are also available. To accommodate diverse applications, Uni-forms are available in several electronic grade epoxy formulations. There are no syringes to clean, and no need for toxic solvents. Our epoxy film adhesives are electrically and thermally conductive and can be heat-cured quickly at temperatures from 125-150☌. With custom-cut film adhesives, our customers are able to customize the adhesive to their application area. Unlike liquid epoxy, Uni-form epoxy preforms will not drip onto unwanted areas of components. Custom-Cut Film Adhesive Preform Benefits. All this ensures uniform, high-quality epoxy seals and bonds for a variety of industries. Seal variations caused by operator technique or epoxy pot life are eliminated. The epoxy viscosity is the same from beginning to end of batch. Their premixed ratios of catalyst to resin are consistent. Multi-Seals manufactures Uni-forms to tight dimensional tolerances. The epoxy seal protects electromechanical components from dust, moisture, oil, flux, solvents, conformal coatings, and other contaminants. After the epoxy has cured, it will not remelt. Uni-form epoxy preforms are one-part, pre-shaped resins that are solid at room temperature. #Epoxy preform licenseThis article is an open access article distributed under the terms and conditions of the CreativeCommonsAttribution (CCBY) license ().MULTI-SEALS Uni-forms™ epoxy preforms are the no-mix, no-mess approach to industrial epoxy sealing and bonding. These findings were verified for both carbon and ramie fiber composites.Ĭarbon fiber composite, Epoxy, In-plane mechanical properties, LCM process, Ramie fiber composite, Rosin-sourced anhydrite, Viscosity Composite laminates made via this approach exhibited roughly comparable quality and mechanical properties with prepreg controls via autoclave or compression molding, respectively. C-scan and glass transition temperature tests showed that the preform pre-loaded with anhydrite was fully infiltrated and wetted by the liquid epoxy, and the two components were diffused and dissolved with each other, and finally, well reacted and cured. Rheological tests revealed that by separating the anhydrite curing agent from a formulated RTM resin system, the remaining epoxy liquid had its flowtime extended. Rosin-sourced, anhydrite-cured epoxies that would normally be regarded as unsuited to liquid composite molding, were thus processed. The separation of resin and hardener helped to process inherently high viscosity resins in a convenient way. In this concept-proof study, a preform-based RTM (Resin Transfer Molding) process is presented that is characterized by first pre-loading the solid curing agent onto the preform, and then injecting the liquid nonreactive resin with an intrinsically low viscosity into the mold to infiltrate and wet the pre-loaded preform.
